Don’t

* Don't ever post your complete resume on a job board. Unscrupulous recruiters will spam your resume, blackballing you.

* Don't ever let anyone send your resume without specifying the job, manager, company, and location.
* Don't tell your prospective boss that your current job sucks pond water.
* Don't tell your recruiter that what you need from your last job is a good termination lawyer.
* Don't keep raising your expectations. You will only annoy everyone.
* Don't talk with anyone about money unless specifically cleared by your recruiter or prospective manager.
* Don't tell your recruiter that you only interview with managers. HR folks can sink you fast.
* Don't think in absolutes. Everything is negotiable.
* Don't announce that you intend to move to Timbuktu next year.
